South Coast, Australia

I am a little behind on blogging our holiday. Last Saturday we headed to the South Coast. It was an amazing drive. Around Canberra, it is very dry, but the closer you get to the coast, the greener the landscape. As we drove to the South Coast, we drove through dry, dry, flat desert then through a rain forest - all within 2 hours. We went to a few beaches near the town of Bateman's Bay. I have never seen such clear ocean water. The first beach had a jellyfish problem that morning (over 15 stings) and there were all over the sand. However, the current had changed and we didn't see any in the water. The kids didn't care, they got right in and played.

Great pictures! Keep them coming. And for heaven's sake, stay away from the jellies! Are the kids (and you) picking up any of the local lingo?

Love that last picture.......and that fact that you've been able to do such fun things in the sun.

The Wesson's are going to be in CA this week so we'll get to see a bit of West Linn! :)
