Lake Billy Chinook

If you haven't noticed already, we love to go boating. I have been converted, by my fun-loving husband, to the relaxing fun of water. This past weekend, we headed to Lake Billy Chinook for a little hot weather boating. It was beautiful. The boys were brave and decided to stand on the "Taz", our inflatable knee-board.

Sugar and Spice

Here is a picture of my sweet little niece, Meggin Ann. She is almost 1 month old and so very cute. Congratulations Dave, Becky, Alex and Nik. Annika is always so glad for another girl cousin since the girls are outnumbered by the boys. ps. credit for the beautiful headband and flower to Elily Flowers -- thanks Amy!!

Puff the Magic Dragon

Arik asked Santa Claus for this guitar last Christmas and has loved it. He now says that he wants a stage to go with it. Tonight for FHE, he was in charge of music. He "played" Puff the Magic Dragon while the rest of us sang. Doesn't he look cool??!!

The Boys

I love, love, love this picture of Tanner and my dad. They are so similar is so many ways. Both are very strong physically and mentally. Both are so intense and a little competative. They also love to laugh and tease and have a great time. My favorite trait is the creativity they each possess. While on vacation, the two "boys" each had a list of projects that just had to be tried and finished. Can you also see how much they look alike?

Playing with Cousins

Cari, Joe, Carson and Landon visited for a week. The kids just played and played and had so much fun. Annika, of course, felt a little left out because the boys were not very interested in playing babies.

Two weeks of Fun, Fun, Fun

After weeks of visiting and imposing on friends and family, we are back home from our two week vacation to Utah and Idaho. We had such a great time. Here is the short version of our trip.

..... stopping to see and travel with Mormor and Grandpa, hanging out with family -- Kaylen's "Sweet 16", hanging out with friends, Spanish Paella, playing in the mountains, fixing up our "vacation home", the Family Fun Festival, Girl's Night Out -- Mama Mia!!, shopping, hanging out with family and friends some more, the boat club, and playing at the ranch.

Kaylen's Sweet "16", nothing like celebrating with a bunch of much younger cousins!!

We headed up American Fork Canyon to play on the 24th with the Clarks. The kids brought their nets so they could catch snakes, and they were successful!!

Colby and his friend, Heath, have been cooking Spanish Paella and Tortillas for almost 15 years (can you believe it!!). It has become such a fun tradition that we share with our other Clark friends. Heath and Colby cook and talk engineering "shop" while Tammy and I sit around and hang out (ok, we make the tortilla). We got together during our trip to Utah, and I think this was one of the best they have ever made.

The Cedar Hills Family Fun Festival is always a favorite with my kids. They never want to miss it, or hanging out with all their friends. This year, right in the middle of the BBQ, there was thunder, lightening and rain. We all had to find shelter for quite some time. While the adults hid, the kids played in the rain.

Saying goodbye, again....

Palisades Boat Club. The kids had such a great time swimming and paddle boating in the lake. But oh, the water was so very cccooolllddd.

So, Colby's grandparents are ranchers. Originally from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, they eventually bought a ranch in Tetonia, Idaho and have lived there for quite a number of years. The Wilson's are tired, and are selling the ranch. Our kids and their cousins are devistated. So we decided we had better visit one last time. Here are a few pictures of this beautiful land.

Could there be anything better? Thanks everyone for loving and missing us. It is always so good to go "home", not to a house, but to where family and friends warm the heart.
